Welcome to The Hypnosis Zone. These Terms of Service describe the terms under which Mayer Chemtob, MS, LMHC, BCH, doing business as The Hypnosis Zone, provides services and makes this website available.

By using this website, contacting The Hypnosis Zone, scheduling services, submitting information, or making payment, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Services Provided

The Hypnosis Zone offers hypnosis-related services, hypnotic support, and related personal development services. The website may also offer information about licensed mental health counseling and psychotherapy services provided by Mayer Chemtob, MS, LMHC, where legally and professionally permitted.

Although this website may offer both hypnosis-related services and licensed mental health counseling services, the main focus of The Hypnosis Zone is hypnosis and hypnotic services.

Hypnosis services and psychotherapy/counseling services are separate types of services. If licensed mental health counseling or psychotherapy services are provided, additional informed consent, privacy, clinical documentation, and professional practice policies may apply.

2. Hypnosis Services

Hypnosis services are intended to help clients work toward personal goals such as stress reduction, habit change, confidence, relaxation, sleep-related concerns, performance improvement, and related areas of personal development.

Hypnosis services are not a substitute for medical care, psychiatric care, psychotherapy, emergency services, or advice from a licensed medical provider. Hypnosis services do not include medical diagnosis, psychiatric diagnosis, or recommendations to discontinue medically prescribed treatment.

If you have a medical, psychiatric, medication-related, or safety concern, you should consult an appropriate licensed professional.

3. Counseling and Psychotherapy Services

Licensed mental health counseling or psychotherapy services, when offered, are separate from hypnosis services and are provided only where Mayer Chemtob is legally authorized to provide such services.

Counseling and psychotherapy services may involve separate intake documents, informed consent, privacy notices, clinical policies, treatment planning, documentation requirements, and professional obligations.

The use of this website, payment through this website, or general communication with The Hypnosis Zone does not automatically establish a psychotherapy relationship.

4. Not an Emergency Service

The Hypnosis Zone does not provide emergency or crisis services through this website, email, text, payment platforms, contact forms, chatbot, or scheduled hypnosis services.

If you believe you may be in danger, may harm yourself, may harm someone else, or are experiencing a medical, psychiatric, or safety emergency, call 911, call 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.

5. No Guaranteed Results

The Hypnosis Zone does not guarantee any specific outcome or result. Client progress may vary based on many factors, including readiness, consistency, personal circumstances, follow-through, and other individual factors.

Fees are charged for professional time and services, not for guaranteed results.

6. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, participating honestly and respectfully, following agreed-upon recommendations when appropriate, and seeking medical, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other professional advice when needed.

Clients should not participate in hypnosis sessions while driving, operating machinery, or engaging in any activity requiring full alertness.

7. Eligibility and Minors

Services are available to adults. Services for minors require consent from a parent or legal guardian.

A parent or legal guardian may be required to complete paperwork, participate in intake, provide consent, and accept financial responsibility for services.

8. Scheduling and Remote Services

Sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement. Services may be provided remotely through video platforms, phone, or other mutually agreed-upon methods.

Clients are responsible for having a private, safe, and appropriate setting for remote sessions, as well as a stable internet connection or phone connection.

The Hypnosis Zone is not responsible for technology failures, internet disruptions, device issues, or platform outages that are outside its control. When possible, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or continue the session by another mutually agreed-upon method.

9. Fees and Payment

The charge for services via remote platform is currently $200 for an approximately 60-minute intake or extended appointment and $150 for an approximately 45-minute follow-up or standard appointment.

Prices are subject to change without notice for new clients. Active clients will be given at least 14 days’ notice of any change in fees.

Payment options may include Zelle, Venmo, Stripe, or other mutually agreed-upon methods. Payment is generally due before or at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that payment information is accurate and that payments are submitted on time.

The Hypnosis Zone does not store full credit card numbers. Payments made through Zelle, Venmo, Stripe, or any other third-party payment service are also subject to the terms, privacy policies, and practices of those payment providers.

Clients should not include sensitive health, clinical, or private information in payment notes, memos, or payment descriptions.

10. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments

Clients are expected to provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, missed appointments, or late arrivals may be charged up to the full session fee, unless otherwise agreed or unless an exception is made by The Hypnosis Zone.

Late arrivals may result in a shortened session, depending on scheduling availability.

11. Refunds

Fees paid for completed sessions are generally non-refundable.

Refund requests for prepaid services that have not yet been provided may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds are not provided simply because a desired outcome was not achieved, as hypnosis and counseling-related outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

12. Insurance

The Hypnosis Zone does not accept insurance for hypnosis services.

Clients should expect to pay personally for hypnosis services. In general, insurance companies may not reimburse for hypnotic services, and clients should not assume that hypnosis services will be covered or reimbursed.

If licensed mental health counseling or psychotherapy services are provided, insurance and payment policies will be reviewed separately.

13. Confidentiality

The Hypnosis Zone respects client privacy and confidentiality. Information shared in connection with services will be treated with care and discretion.

However, confidentiality may have limits, including situations involving risk of harm to self or others, suspected abuse or neglect, legal requirements, court orders, payment disputes, or other circumstances where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

If separate licensed mental health counseling or psychotherapy services are provided, additional confidentiality, informed consent, privacy, and clinical documentation policies may apply.

14. Communication

Email, phone, text, website forms, chatbot, video platforms, and other electronic communications may be used for scheduling, payment, administrative matters, and limited service-related communication.

Electronic communication may carry privacy and security risks. The Hypnosis Zone does not guarantee that ordinary email, text messaging, chatbot communication, or standard electronic communication methods are fully secure.

15. Website Content

Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It should not be taken as medical, psychiatric, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

The Hypnosis Zone may update or change website content at any time.

16. Intellectual Property

Website text, materials, forms, handouts, audio recordings, scripts, and other content created by The Hypnosis Zone are the property of The Hypnosis Zone unless otherwise stated.

Clients and website visitors may not copy, distribute, publish, sell, or reproduce these materials without written permission.

17. Third-Party Services

The Hypnosis Zone may use third-party services for payment processing, scheduling, website hosting, communication, video sessions, chatbot functions, or related business functions.

These third parties have their own terms, privacy practices, and security policies. The Hypnosis Zone is not responsible for the independent actions, policies, or technical issues of third-party providers.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Hypnosis Zone is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages related to website use, services, technology issues, payment platforms, or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot legally be limited.

19. Changes to These Terms
